So we bought a house! (Almost)
We signed some paperwork today, put down some good faith money, and we will be in touch with the mortgage broker first thing in the morning. We do know that our builder will get the sale closed and us moved in before November 28 (2 days shy of the Nov 30th deadline for the $8000 tax credit). It was a toss up between 2 homes (same neighborhood) but we're glad we went with this. Stressful thinking that we will have debt (aka Mortgage) but we know it's okay to have a mortgage. I'm a grown-up now!

Our beautiful Kitchen! I have real tile floors...NO MORE LINOLEUM! I also have corian counter tops (I previously said I had granite, but I was mistaken. I obviously have a few things to learn about houses) with a tile back splash, and solid Maple cabinets. I know I'm bragging, but it's not every day you sign on a house! I also have a nice sized pantry to the right.

Some of you may know, we're not very happy with our children's current school, so this is primarily what has prompted this move. Their new school is excellent! We feel that this will be a positive change in all aspects of our family life. Hopefully it will go well!

Congratulations!! It hurts to see the pay off date in your mortgage paperwork, but its YOURS! BTW, where did you end up purchasing it?
It's technically in OKC, but South/West of Moore. OKC kind of skirts around the city of Moore. Kind of weird. We're about 15 minutes from the airport.

Congrats Tina! That is so exciting for you, now you won't have to deal with being forced to mow your lawn by the military standards! Hee hee hee, no this really is great, and it looks wonderful, slightly jealous over here! I really hope the new school works better for you, everyone needs to have a safe comfortable, and good learning environment!
