Trees

Another wonderful aspect of our trip was the chirping birds. They were always chirping and we had many colorful birds in the trees, but I never had the camera on me when they were around, so that's why I only have a black bird. I wish I could have taken more pictures of the birds.

Spring

It may take me a while to blog about our trip, but Spring was gorgeous. I'm so thankful that we could see all of the pretty blossoms along the way and watch the flowers bloom. Missouri and Wisconsin are so pretty! All of these photos were taken in Wisconsin at Howard's Aunt and Uncle's home.

Quadrasaurous

No I did not get another little girl, this is my little Jack. I've been begging him to let me cut his hair and today I though I'd have a little fun with him. We called them his dinosaur horns. He kept poking us with them. Since he had four, we named him Quadrasaurous.
He would run into us with his head down like this, impaling us with his mighty horns.
So his hair was kind of long (I don't like my boys to have long hair, even though I know it's the style right now.) We're a military family and I like it high and tight...I know, so cliche. But that's the truth! Anyway...I gave him a haircut tonight. I don't have any after pictures, but I'd like it to grow out just a little to hide my imperfections. Jack does not know the meaning of "sit still" and that's really bad when you're getting a hair cut! Don't worry, it's not that bad. ;)

Sugar High

Breakfast of Champions...
The Easter Bunny didn't seem as enthusiastic about waking up early like the children did!
Luke kept signing "more" as soon as we gave him some candy. He was a candy monster today. We've given him tastes here and there, but today was his first real candy experience.
Howie may not look like it, but they are ALL enjoying their candy from the Easter Bunny.
Since we had General Conference today, we stayed home and had a pajama day and munched on candy while watching conference. Nice day!

Easter was very simple this year. We didn't get new Easter clothes and the only toy in their baskets was Play-dough. We've been purging junk out of the house lately and when I would pass the Easter toys at the store, all I could envision was tripping over it in June, finding broken parts September, and finally throwing it away before Christmas. I'm glad I saved myself the hassle and the kids were just as happy.

Squadron Egg Hunt

"Don't let that freak hold me!"

"Yeah, you better stay away...I'm watching you!"

"I'm going to step right over these eggs hiding under my feet so I can get different eggs on the other side of the playground."

"I got an egg Daddy, but I'm going to hold it and not let go. You'll have to fill up my basket for me!"

There were so many eggs for ALL the children. Howie and Erin filled up their baskets and then a volunteer airman gave them each a grocery sack. It was so windy, they decided to work together, they were very productive! They got so much candy, I've set some aside to pass out at Halloween!

April Fool's Fun

Last night after the kids were asleep we decided to pull a few pranks on them. They were all good sports this morning. We actually repeated a prank we did 2 years ago, but with different kids this time. They were surprised to wake up in the bath tub.
Poor Erin, the camera woke her up this morning.
Howie was rather hard to trick, he's becoming a light sleeper and he's just getting too big to carry around much. I put some whitie-tighties over his pj's and now he's officially Captain Underpants! Also, when I told him to go get ready for school this morning he was surprised to find ALL of his clothes missing. I was nice and returned them promptly, but it was fun while it lasted.
Happy April Fool's!
This year I'm not pregnant! I really got some people good last year.
